About Grama
GRAMA is an initiative of “Earthcare”, a locally-run enterprise that is deeply committed to supporting the village community through a range of initiatives focused on crafts, natural products, and small businesses. Through their work, Seema and Soby are able to channel their passion for their heritage, the village they call home, the causes they support, and the natural world that surrounds us all into tangible action that is making a real difference in the lives of those around them.

The Beginning
In 2007 the concept of Grama was brought into life.

Earth Friendly Products
All products were made from naturally available raw materials,completely safe to use and bio degradable.
2008
Empowering Women
In the year 2008, the primary beneficiaries of the project were given to women. As a result, more women and women self-help groups were included in the project.
1979
Community Give back
GRAMA started supporting the village community through its ‘community give back’ policy. A part of the revenue generated through GRAMA is being given back to the society in the form of employment, monetary support, educational support etc.
2020
Grama Book Bank
Grama launched a new venture: the “Grama Book Bank“. The book bank will provide notebooks and pencils to children, with each child being supported with one notebook and one pencil to start.

2021
Handlooms Products
In August 2021, the company ventured into a new product line — handcrafted cotton bath towels. The initiative was aimed at reviving the tradition of using handlooms.
